Don’t Ignore a Tender Tendon
Achilles tendinitis is the inflammation of the tendon that connects the heel bone to the
calf muscles. Usually caused by overexertion, it leads to pain, stiffness, tenderness, and swelling in the heel area. If you suspect that you're suffering from it, rest, ice
(20 minutes,
several times per day), and a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory, OTC pain
reliever may help. However, if symptoms persist, give us a call, so that we can properly diagnose the condition, and devise a customized treatment for you.
