BV Foot Clinic: Start Your Workout Routine With Baby Steps

Start Your Workout Routine With Baby Steps

It happens every year; as winter’s time runs out, people also begin running out – to the park, the track, the tennis courts, or any other place where they can work off their winter weight. While that can be a good idea, remember that sudden, intense exercise or running workouts – especially on hard or uneven surfaces – or abrupt increases in their durations, can trigger injuries, such as Achilles tendinitis. This painful condition causes stiffness and swelling around the Achilles tendon, which can even tear or rupture, if neglected. So, start your routine with baby steps; and if you’re feeling the burn – but it’s around your Achilles tendon – come see us for treatment.

BV Foot Clinic: If You Have a Callus, Call Us

If You Have a Callus, Call Us

Among foot ailments, calluses may seem to be the least serious; but they can be painful, and even harmful, if they get infected – especially for diabetics. Moreover, as they’re caused by friction, they can be more bothersome in the winter, because people frequently wear thicker socks (more than one pair, at times). Of course, the real trouble starts when people try to cut or shave off their calluses, which raises the risk of infection. So, if you have a callus, call us!
