BV Foot Clinic: Diabetic Neuropathy Should Never Be Ignored

Diabetic Neuropathy Should Never Be Ignored

If you’re diabetic, you know that you must be extra-vigilant about foot care; and that you cannot ignore any complications that arise. For example, sensations of burning, tingling, and numbness can be warning signs of Diabetic Neuropathy. Caused by high blood sugar levels restricting blood flow to the feet, it’s an especially serious condition that can damage nerves, and lead to disastrous consequences, if left unattended.

If you have these symptoms, you may be able to benefit from our effective, in-office treatment that can restore sensation to your feet, and reduce the chances of further difficulties. So, call us right away for a consultation to determine if this procedure is right for you.

BV Foot Clinic: Keep Winter Corns from Cropping Up

Keep Winter Corns from Cropping Up

With summer slipping away, it seems that the time for cultivating corn has passed; but many people grow their own in the cold months. It happens when they switch back to heavy footwear, as socks’ seams, or tight shoes, consistently rubbing against the toes, can cause corns to develop. Although not generally serious, they are often painful; and, with continued friction, may even become infected, which can be dangerous, especially for diabetics.

Certainly, we can easily remove corns. However, by wearing seamless socks, making sure that shoes fit properly, and wearing slippers around the house, you can keep corns from cropping up this winter.
