It's O.K. to Take Fashion Risks; But Avoid Risky Fashions
When people are said to be taking “fashion risks,” it’s usually because they're wearing
clothes that, rather than being off-the-rack, are regarded as off-the-wall. However,
there are some fashions that many women wear every day that can actually jeopardize their health. Stilettos, for example, can lead to some serious
issues; and the higher they are, the farther-reaching the damage. Beyond bunions and hammertoes, they can cause ankle, calf, knee, and hip injuries. Moreover, by
forcing unnatural spine movement, they often strain the lumbar erector spinae
muscles, triggering lower back pain.
So,
if you must wear stilettos, limit the time you spend in them. Remember, it’s fine to
take fashion risks; but they shouldn’t be the kind that can really threaten
your health!
